Would suggest that you download the free AOL, Active Virus Shield, powered by kaspersky Labs., of Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. You will get automatic updates every hour on the hour, plus as an excellent background scanner that works great in real time. AOL, will only ask you for your email so they can send you a free key good for one year. After one year just request a new key.

I use AVG AntiVirus (free edition).
Been using it for years. GREAT product.
Works on Win 2000. XP, Vista, Linux.
It is very light (uses very little resources) but catches everything McAfee & Norton's will.
