what date does the gemini month start?

i've been searching on the net and have found that the gemini month starts on may 21 or may 22.

i recently found out the birthday of a friend of mine which is may 21 and i cant pin down his star sign.

any help?

any reasons why there's two dates.. or something the like.

Its called being on the cusp!
I was born on the 23rd october so i am either a libran or scorpion,had my chart done and i am a scorpion(which i think i knew!!) You will need to find out what time he was born to clarify i think.

So you can see how essential it is for a person born on the cusp of a sign to know their time of birth and to have their chart done. Only then can they be truly certain of their Sun sign.

Nevertheless, it's amazing how powerfully people can relate to their Sun sign, even when they are not completely certain of what it is. I have a friend who was born on the cusp of Leo/Virgo. Until the age 25, her family and friends labelled her a Virgo, but she always insisted that she felt more Leo. Luckily, she knew her exact time of birth and finally had her chart done. The result was a surprise to everyone but her. She was, indeed, a Leo, born at the extreme edge of the sign. Had she been born 2 hours later, she would have been a Virgo.

The moral of this little story is that your friend probably already has an instinctive knowledge of their real sign, especially because neighbouring signs are normally very different from one another.

this year the sun entered gemini at 12:46 am pdst on may 21st.. the reason this happens (and it's to every sign )is that the planets, like us aren't exact but they unlike us, do their thing in roughly the same amount of time(like their orbits......)so they gain or loose minutes, hours, days etc. but it's still close enough to generalize.... so it's important to know the birth time to get a full chart composed but a good rule of thumb is that things are always stronger going into the start and gradually wind down toward the end , to say he's a gemini...but a full chart gives the whole story and many people are surprised to see that they really have little or no real connection to their sun sign at all.....hope this helps

I'm a Gemini and something similar to your situation happened to me about half a year ago, so maybe my thoughts will be kinda like your friend's. I really liked a guy I was friends with for a long time, and he figured out that I liked him and things haven't been exactly the same between us since. This happened a while ago and I like someone else now, but I admit I still think about him sometimes, though not in the same way. I might have some left over feeling for him, but I think I'm over him. So yeah, your Gemini friend might still like you a little bit, but he's most likely given up.If you like him, I'd ask him if he still likes you though, just in case. :)
