What you look FOR .. and what initially attracts you are two different things.
Looking for something .. that's something you do on purpose.. something you want to find in another person.
being attracted to someone is involuntary.. it happens to you and it isn't anything you can control or even affect.
I'm attracted to facial expressions that seem kind to me. Probably a combination of eye contact and facial symmetry. (romantic, huh?)
What I look for is kindness, humor, confidence and compassion in just the 'right combination' .. (right for me, anyway)

hmm.. personalty traits.. witty, a sense of humor, not so much the looks other than is well groomed; a must is that certain charisma that makes you want to get to know them better.

they have to look decent, then after, i look at their characteristics you know....are they funny, smart, romantic, do they have an anger problems, what problems to they have and most importantly, can i deal with it, etc.
