I do have to qualify my answer though: to me there is a difference between a bad actor and one who is just playing up a particular image. Jack Black, for example, is all about his persona, and most any movie he is in plays up on that persona. So, while I may not appreciate his whole canon, he does have some pretty funny moments. Same with someone like Will Farrell or Jim Carrey. Those guys have certain personas that don't change much from movie to movie, and if you don't like the persona, it doesn't matter what movie they're in, you won't like it (though both of those guys have gone outside their comfort zones to make some pretty decent movies like Stranger Than Fiction, etc.).

Steve Austin - He stars in a movie with a lot of ridiculous violence and bad dialogue. He has wrestled in WWE, where there is a lot of ridiculous violence and bad dialogue. For whatever reason, he failed to deliver in the movie. Guess he was lost without Sandman's beer drinking gimmick.
