she says she never liked him and just liked the thought of having a boyfriend. then i feel like a ***** becaause he really liked her and everyday she would tell me she liked him, and he would get worried she didnt so i would be conveying false **** she told me and i feel terrible. everyone is siding with her saying they understand.i dont. i think shes a *****. my best friend got his heart "broken" by a girl he thought really liked him but she just used him. i dont know what to say to him to make him feel better because he feels like **** right now and i told him she was not worth it and that she didnt deserve him and im just not really sure how to help him. i hate to see him so sad :[

There are plenty of fish in the sea. Go find yourself a new group of friends to hang out with.

Give me a break. Both of these people are immature. He was privvy to the fact that she is your "ex" best friend and I'm sure you confided things in him.

You don't need to say one blessed thing to him. He betrayed you, she shat on him, and now he needs to stew for a bit in the mess he created.

Find someone to go out for coffee with or stroll through a museum, art gallery or park. And, DO NOT talk about the situation anymore.

Move on. He may bounce back and be your friend again, or he may not. His happiness is definitely NOT your responsibility.

the number one thing i recommend is letting those two people work it out themselves. by getting in the middle of it, you're only creating more drama which isn't healthy for you or either of them. just let him make his own decisions about how to deal with your ex-best friend. offer him some advice, but keep it open so it doesn't seem like you are telling him what to do. just be there for him no matter what happens. also, make sure that he understands that you are there for him and you will support him 100% in whatever happens in this situation as well as future ones. good luck. <3
