Does anyone know any great post-rock bands playing this summer near Boston, Ma? Preferably not an 18+ show. If you can't find any, artists like Apollo Sunshine, Sufjan Stevens, Andrew Bird, Radiohead, Wolfmother, whatever. I need to figure out if any awesome indie artists are coming to play in town (or surrounding area, whatever works). if any one could give me some info, along with info with the bands playing that would be great.

When i say, Post-rock, i mean bands like Sigur Ros, Mogwai, A Silver Mt. Zion, Boards of Canada, Mono (Japan) etc. i know sometimes people can mix up with grunge, and punk bands like MCR or something

A great website to check out concerts and to search for up coming shows is pollstar. You can search by tour, band, city, even venue and it's all organized well and up-to-date.

That's what I use for all my concert searches and I usually hear about shows before most people do.

I find it not only easier to use than ticketmaster, but ticketmaster only lists the shows they support. This means that if the show is contracted through a different ticket site (for example: tickets.com) it wont be listed on ticketmaster.com. All shows are listed on pollstar. Then go to the bands site and see how to purchase tickets.

I'm sorry, but I just have to comment.

Apollo Sunshine is absofreakinglutely incredible. I can't believe somebody on this site has heard of them. Nobody in my hometown has heard of them, and they're local! Just had to give you massive props. You sound like you have some good taste.

To answer your question, here's a link to the Pollstar section for your area, the best place (besides the local paper) to find out about concerts. It has any info on what bands are playing from today until two years in the future. Just check back everyday, it updates itself.

Don't even fear approximately what you are dressed in. I'm now not certain what the ones bands are or what the gang is like, however I experience dancing, leaping, strolling round within the pit and many others. so I like to decorate effectively in a tee blouse that I do not brain if it will get ruined, denims, and comfy sneakers - you'll be status for decades. Have a laugh!
