When you get your first period there should be a reddish/brown discharge in your underwear. It could be a full flow of blood but not always. And you may not get another period the next month either. Some girls start right off with it and others atre irregular for awhile. Time will tell.

You can tell when you get your first period because discharge comes out of your vagina (which you already new). When you get your first period you are not likely to see a Niagara Falls of blood coming out. it is usually very light. Check your underpants for brownish stains. If you see any they may be the first signs of getting your period. At first you may confuse them for stains from going to the bathroom ( in case I need to spell it out, "pooping"). Before you decide if it is your period, go to your mom (or a nurse if your at school). Also a way to tell if its your period is that you may feel very depressed for no reason you can think of. When you get your period( or at least you think it is your period) watch the next day to see if the same thing happens, then chances are its the real deal. Remember, talk to your mom about it. she remembers!

Yeah I peed alot the night before I got mine, then bled the next day, it might be really really light tthe first time it might even have a brownish color to it.

First, don't be scared. I hated when I got mine. Everyone is a little different but you will start spotting and then a heavier flow. Just remember this, don't let it rule your life.

If you've been a little pissy lately that may be a sign. But if you see blood in your pants, well then you know you got it.

You bleed, thats the first sign, and your breasts will become tender! You may also get a break-out in pimples (hormones).

well you usually find blood on your underwear!
thats when you know you got your FIRST period!

you will see bright red blood on the toilet paper and probably your pants cant miss it
