Yes, postive thinking is very powerful.
The visualization of success has been used for decades in sports in order to prepare an athlete for 'battle'.
And I've seen at least one academic paper showing how negative thoughts can affect athletic outcomes.
In life in general, the physiological effect of smiling has been shown to be effective in improving emotional well-being. If you force yourself to smile, it can improve your mood. And there are studies to show that people who laugh a lot have a greater life-expectancy.
So, given these connections, it should be pretty clear that forcing yourself to 'think happy thoughts' or to plan for success can have a physical/mental effect that can help you achieve a successful/happy outcome.
Peace

I believe in positive thinking, but not in the sense that I can make things happen, but in the sense that I have a good shot at managing any situation that comes along because I will not give up.
I think negative thinking is destructive and, although I engage in it at times. There are some things and some people are just cannot believe in, but I wish them the best in a certain way.

If a person uses positive thinking they will be able to handle most situations that life throws at them. If they think in the negative, nothing will be resolved. There is a gray area though, and hopefully they will try a to steer clear of it.

Probably it's true, because you find some people who come from horrible backgrounds and environments, yet they are tremendously positive successful people. They are very positive.
But I'm not sure if it is due to a conscious choice or some other natural characteristics of that person.

I believe it.
There are the days I am in a real good positive mood and everything just falls into place.
Other days I am in a bad mood and everything I try to do is very difficult.
And the just bla bla days and nothing happens, LOL

properly I do have self assurance that what we anticipate of upon all day can create havoc, or a experience of peace interior, to some degree. i attempt to concentration as a lot as achieveable on the useful in my existence. My day did not commence out large and that i become confronted with assorted issues to resolve, yet,i attempted to imagine about the sturdy that has happened and tried to easily enable flow of the unfavourable. As for sending out useful options, I attempt in my personal thanks to deliver little emails or messages to human beings, often times a word to remind them they're particular and what they propose to me. i desire that makes someones day somewhat more advantageous helpful with the help of understanding they're theory-about and cared for. i recognize it makes mine pretty effective..... And, I continuously have a coronary heart for all and sundry that i recognize is hurting.

Yes, it is no good to wallow in self pity, and moan, "woe is me". Do something about it.
