I had sex the day after my period stopped (May 13) and ovulated on May 18. I know that sperm can live in the body for 3 - 6 days.

In most cases, the sperm will live up to 5 days when the cervical mucus is in it's egg white stage, a few days before ovulation. (It's a myth that it only lives 72 hours, that has been proved wrong on many studies, and actually my daughter is proof, as I had sex 4 days before ovulation when i conceived her) In very rare circumstances some sperm has lived up to 7 days in studies, but again the mucus would to be egg white like, to support it for that long. If the mucus is not right, you are not in your fertile time, it will only live a few hours.

So yes there is a very slim chance that you could become pregnant, but I would guess that you arent.

It is possible depending on how fertile you are. Most usually five days prior to your ovulation is the greatest amount of time for sperm to live.
