Has anyone heard of or experienced having nightmares after a surgery? Please share?

This month, I had to go under to get my wisdom teeth taken out and I remember from that night for about a week, I had crazy nightmares. Dreams people normally don't dream about. I also think it could have been the vics they gave me lol. Sorry I couldn't remember any of my crazy dreams but at least I remember having them ;]

Last year my mother had surgery on her knee. She started having nightmares about giant spiders in her room. The pain medication the doctor prescribed caused this side affect. She was taking morphine for the pain. The nightmares stopped when she quit taking the medication.
