There is no question that I would want Roger Clemens on the mound. By far the better pitcher. Forget the strikeouts for a moment. Ryan has also walked more batters than any other pitcher in history. Ryan is only slightly over .500 for his career as Clemens has nearly a 2 to 1 win loss ratio. Ryan was in a similar situation in 1980 in a 5 game series against the Phillies in the NLCS. Game 5 and the Phillies lit him up like a Roman Candle. It wasn't a game 7 but Clemens won the world series in the deciding game in 1999.

Nolan Ryan. There's no doubt about it. First of all, he seems to be a better human than Clemens. As a Red Sox fan, I will forever see Clemens as a Yankee, period. And the absolute spectacle of Clemens coming back to the Yankees this year was embarassing. He's got a great fastball, sure, and he's blowing one right past MLB with this $28 contract for about 4 months of effort every 5 days or so.
Nolan Ryan has 7 no-hitters in his career, if I'm not mistaken. 5,714 career strikeouts and 324 career wins come with Ryan. I'll take that any day.

i might want to take ANY playoff sport contained in the NHL compared to the different selections. i have had the excitement to attend the most suitable 2 Leafs playoff wins in man or woman. regrettably those happened in the previous in 2004. 2d round as against Philly on the ACC in Toronto. all of us love hockey. The known season is large...or so we anticipate of till the playoffs commence. Playoff hockey takes the greatness of this sport to an finished different element. The intensity. The hitting. The drama. The hitting. The desperation of the crew in the back of contained in the series/sport. The hitting. The multi-extra time nail-bitters. Oh yeah, and did I element out THE HITTING?!?! For me the NHL playoffs are the in basic terms time in events that i'm able to haven't any care contained in the international on which crew wins or loses the game and take a seat there and watch the completed sport and be thoroughly entertained.

Ryan. Hes the man. Most strikeouts ever. Something you need in the WS.
No way for Clemens. It seems like if he gives up some runs, or somethings going bad, he all of a sudden is hurt. When he gave up the runs in the 2nd inning of the WS back in 90 ( I think ), when he came off the mound, he all of a sudden had this limp.... WHERE DID IT COME FROM??? They took him out then cause he was "hurt". MY @$$. Its as bad as Foreman saying his water tasted "mediciney".

Clemens.
sure Nolan had seven no hitters, but he was also only 32 games over .500 in his career. 324-292.

The Rocket. He has a history of stepping it up when it counts. Ryan was great, but sometimes inconsistent.
