When my daughter was a few months old and I started feeding her cereal, I put the sippy cup in her hands and let her play with it while I was feeding her. She got used to seeing it during feeding time which helped her use it a lot faster than some babies I've seen. It's also a good sign to start if he can hold a bottle on his own.

You can start a sippy cup when your ready. Or when you fell the baby is ready. But usually around a year old or a lil early.

Well in my opinion you should stop breastfeeding and then just give him warm bottles of formula. sure it wont taste as good to him for a while, but eventually he should take it. If not, ask your baby-doc. Then I wouldnt suggest giving him the sippy cup until about 2 or when he can eat by himself w/ his little spoons and forks

You can start giving your son a sippy cup when he's able to hold his own bottle.

I started my son on a tippy when he could hold it on his own. about six months. It sure made weaning a lot easier.. I did both breastfeeding and bottle. start with water. my son loved it...
