Write down a special memory that you two had, or just a stupid memory about something that happened in one of your classes or an annoying teacher you both had. If you aren't close friends with the person, write down a cute quote that you really enjoy that'll pertain to the transition you will all be having from 8th grade to high school. My one friend wrote this one Gandhi quote in everyone's year book, and drew a little picture next to her name when she signed it. I used to write dumb things, like "Darling, stay fabulous," in people's yearbooks. Another friend of mine used to sign her name on the corner of her picture, like a famous autograph.

You can write the usual, but write it in a spiral--around and around and around.
