because we were gullible enough in the first place to fall for the sweet talk & crap that they drilled in our head.....

Its just some people who are like that, not all. Some people really are as nice as they seem and some are even nicer once you get to know them more. And as for the one´s that turn out to be jerks...well unfortunately, it usually takes a little while for us to be able to see it, because i think for the most part, everyone is polite to each other in the beginning.
