It can depend somewhat on which fish you have exactly. Several things can be sold under those common names and can easily be mislabed somewhere between the producer and a shop tank. Here's a link to some ID assistance as well as tons of care and keeping information through the links at the top of the page:

Hope that helps

Clownfishes are territorial fish. I believe the black and white ones are the most aggressive.

Things to consider...
How many clownfish are you going to have?
How big is your aquarium?
Will your aquarium provide enough territory for the clownfish(es)?
What other kind of fish are in the aquarium?
How will they associate with the clownfish and vice versa?

I would recommend getting a male and female of the same species of clownfish. They tolerate each other better. Because they are territorial and can be aggressive towards other fish makes clownfish hard to care for in an aquarium because they need space.

I suggest trying to find a salt water aquarium expert or a successful clownfish breeder. I havn't had the best of luck with them.

You can try this site but I havn't had satisfactory results from them. My question was "out of his league" I was told, and they call themselves experts. There are more than one maybe you will have better luck.

This is a trick question. All clowns can be housed together, however even adding one of the same species can cause aggressive behavior. YES you can house all clown together, again, some individuals can be aggressive no matter what TYPE of clown they are.
