Notebook was a sad movie, as was Hotel Rwanda. I am a baby and cry every time I watch Steel Magnolias. Yet I continue to see it again.

A couple of the best tear jerkers ever are; Days of Wine and Roses with Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick-- super sad, and Lana Turner's version of Madame X.

Here are two:

1.Cry Freedom (Denzel Washington & Kevin Kline)
Depressed me for about 2 weeks. Don't watch it unless you've got happiness to burn.

2.Earthlings (documentary - narrated by Joaquin Phoenix)
I could not even finish the film, that's how sad and traumatic it was.

A lot of the musicals are sad. I know they are old, but they still have a good depressing storyline. Carosel. It is about this dead guy in heaven polishing stars. He left his wife and daughter behind. His daughter is poor and gets teased. She wants to kill herself. The father is allowed to go back for one day. He sees her and makes a bad impression. Then he turns invisible. Everythng works out, but not because of him. He goes back to heaven without visiting his one, true love.
