I don't know if this is a dumb quesion. I am just wondering is there a difference between maternity underwear (panties I mean) and regular? What kind did you/do you wear while pregnant?

My belly is starting to get bigger and I don't want to stretch my regular ones.

I like Motherhood Maternity's cotton maternity bikini underwear. They are stretchy and very comfortable.

My cotton 'bikini' panties are still working for me at 7 months, though only the larger sizes I had in my underwear drawer.

Maternity ones I looked at were high in spandex content, not my idea of comfort; I'm not into wearing stuff that feels like a swimsuit. It's either super-low-cut in the front, or it has a stretchy panel, or... As with maternity pants, there'rea a variety of styles.

Just stretch out what you have -- underwear's extremely easy to replace, after all -- or buy some new stuff that's cut low in the front, and maybe a bit bigger than your regular size, if and when you need it. Maternity underpants are expensive, and unlikely to be all that necessary.

Yes there is a difference. Maternity underwear is bigger and has more stretch. A friend of mine used lovepats. I don't remember what brand I used. What you're looking for is something that will be comfortable and be able to accomodate your belly.

Yes Maternity underwear is different, it stretches. I loved Japenese Weekend underwear because it goes underneath the belly and was more comfortable.

You can buy 'maternity underwear' or you can simply buy a 'larger size' of your regular underwear ... I've worn both, and they are really 'about the same' in the end.

I am pregnant. And I DONT wear my thongs anymore. They are rather uncomfortable.

However I wear boy shorts and full underwear.

I wore the maternity ones... they are very stetchy and comfy... but if you are prone to yeast infections, stick to cotton... just buy larger undies if you need them.... good question!!!
