Double-click on the clock on bottom right of screen

Make sure the clock is in the right time zone default is Redmond, Wa Microsoftland. Pacific Time. The clock updates from the internet so the Time Zone thing is important.

Go to your taskbar and double click on the time. Left Click.
It will take you to where you can change the Date Time .

Click on Start
Click on Control Panel (you may have to click settings if you've set your display to classic mode)
Click on Regional Settings
Set your time and date here.

Be sure to double check your region to be sure it's set correctly. (IE: Central, Pacific, etc)

Close Regional Settings.

Click on Administrative Tools
Click on Services
Find Windows Time and make sure it's enabled.

go to start, control panel, and there should be an option that says date and time...you can change it there.
