Give him a few days. It's normal for fish to not eat for a few days after you get them and move them into a new home.

Fact: Bettas don't each much food. If you overfeed, you will actually do damage to your tank. Regardless of what it says on the back of the fish food bottle, do not feed your Betta more than once a day. Stay away from flakes and bloodworms. Bloodworms are a treat for most fish and should be given sparingly. If you feed your Betta only bloodworms, he will probably refuse his regular food since he is used to getting a tasty treat. Flakes will do nothing but pollute your tank. They disintegrate if they are not consumed, so stick with pellets (for a Betta get the kind that float). If your Betta does not eat everyday, try feeding every other day. Good luck.

I have two bettas--they didn't eat for about 5 days after I got them. Now when they see me coming, yum!!! 5 Wardley betta pellets each every other day. If I try to feed them a little every day, like I read in a fish book, it sinks to the bottom and rots.

well i have a Betta, but i feed it dried brine shrimp, and it is located in a round glass bowl, i definitely think your Betta knows the food is there, it just doesn't like the food, i tried feeding it flakes and it doesn't like it, the best thing to do is try to break up the blood worms into small pieces.

that's the 2nd question in this and you have not got any distinctive counsel. This fish desires to be in a minimum of a 5 gallon tank with a clear out and heater. My guess is that that's in a bowl. A bowl will rigidity the fish and the water would be too chilly. in case you re-positioned up this question with greater specifics reguarding the tank, you would be able to get somewhat greater help.=

depend how long you have had him but occasionally ive noticed that upon bring them home from the store they dont eta because you are feeding them something other than what they have been raised on. your best bet is to feed them betta food ( pellets) everyday . they will get hungry adn he will eat eventually. hopefully this helps and hes not sick or anything.

he may not be eating because he is stressed due to the recent move and new home, just keep feeding him at the same time everyday and try to sprinkle it in the same spot he will get the picture sooner or later

If you just got him leave him be for a day. He can go a while without food. He may just be stress out and getting use to his new home.

I think he is still acclimating. Usually fish that won't take food from their owner is known to be sick.
