He's already received death threats. That's why he asked for Secret Service protection and received it. I'm sure he and his family knew this would happen, and kudos to them for their bravery in spite of it. Hillary's received some death threats too. Usually a racist is also a misogynist.
How many uninformed people DO we have in YA? Those saying no and calling you a racist for even asking the question must not watch the news. The death threats and Secret Service protection story was in the news for several days running.

Unfortunately there are reports out there that the KKK has threatened his life.
I guess we shouldn't be surprised, but I hate that there are people like that in our society.
The good news is that they are few and far between, but the threat is real.
We like to criticize Islam for not dealing with the terrorists.
The KKK claims to be a Christian religious group.
As such, we, as Christians, should loudly renounce the KKK and take whatever legal action is necessary to eliminate such threats.
Otherwise we shouldn't criticize Islam.
Neither group can totally eliminate such murderous nuts, but fortunately Christianity has a history of dealing with it when it becomes a significant issue.
Wish we could say the same for Islam.

I don't think it will be a racist that goes after him, but a Muslim who will claim he has abandoned Islam and is now the "worst type" of infidel. Just my opinion though. And last time I checked Sharpton, Jackson, and Farakahn were all still kicking....

Yes. Particularly since the Bush supporters, the KKK, the "Minutemen" and the religious cults that collectively make up the so-called "neoconservative" movement will be hoping for just such a murder. One of them who is more-than-average psychopathic is liable to try jsut that.
The good news is that the Secret Service realizes this--they put Obama under protection sooner than any other presidential candidate in history.

I've told most everyone that I know that if Obama continues his quest for the Presidency some freakin' crack pot will do him in. That crackpot will be guided by a right wing zealot!!!! Some cannot except that a black man be held in that high of regard.

I don't think many people would be surprised if such thing were to occur. Only a small minority would take any pleasure in it, but again, who would really be shocked?
