2. Put clothes on his kids back.
3. Put a roof over their heads.
Also, he should:
1. Be a loving caring husband to his wife and a loving caring father to his children.
2. Make decisions with his wife, but ultimately it is up to him to make the final decision (veto power)
3. Provide for his wife's well being should something happen to him.
