Ok I got my laptop set up with 2 users on separate profiles. I'm able to surf the internet under one but when I go to the other it gives me page can't be displayed. It says it's sending in the status but it's not receiving. What do I need to do?

Did you do the wireless connection wizard on the second profile too? Did you put in the encryption key if its locked.
Run the wizard from the control panel and connect to your wireless network first.

It sounds like the network is properly configured and perhaps there is a firewall issue. I do not know if you have a router but the tests should be about the same.

Let's check this out by doing a few ping tests.

Log in on the account that provides you the web page. Open Command Prompt (Start - Run - type in cmd and hit enter to get to Command Prompt). Type "ipconfig" (not including quotes) and enter. You should see your ip address, subnet mask, and default gateway. (You may wish to write these down as you should see the same addresses in the other account where you will go next.)

Now type in "ping 4.2.2.2" (not including quotes) and enter. You should receive 4 ping responses. Note how this looks.

Now type in "ping yahoo.com" (not including quotes) and enter. You should receive 4 successful ping responses. Note how this looks.

Now log into the other account. Go into command prompt and do the same you did in the other account.

If you do not get a successful response to ping 4.2.2.2 you have a network configuration issue. Check your lan connection configuration and make sure it is identical to the configuration in the other account.

If you get a successful response to ping 4.2.2.2 then do the ping yahoo.com. If this is not successful, check your lan connection DNS addresses and make them the same as it is in the other account.

If you have successful responses to ping 4.2.2.2 and ping yahoo.com you have a firewall blocking. Check your firewall in both accounts and make sure they are the same.

Make sure that both profiles are having the same permission. And also, the firewall setting needs to be the same as well.

It's probably not picking up the signal correctly. Check if you have a pass key that you need to enter for security.
