USC Texas Oklahoma LSU and Michigan should make up the top 5 in that order.

Cant tell you who is going to be the best cause there is no way of telling but i can give you prob the 5 top teams this Year in no particular order.
USC will be strong once again cause lets face it they do an amazing job recruiting.
Michigan will be really strong cause they pretty much have EVERYONE returning on the offensive side of the ball only down side is if they do make a BSC bowl game they have to wait 2 more weeks than any other team.....dont let anyone tell you those 2 weeks are not a disadvantage.....THEY ARE
Texas will be strong with the offensive weapons they have returning.....defense is a question tho
Florida....hate to say it but they have a great chance yes they did lose a lot but they also gained a lot....will be interesting to see how Tim Tebow and the rest of the young ones do.
Louiville should compete really didn't lose a whole lot other than their coach....but they still have (in alot of peoples minds) the best QB in the nation
Wisconson.....lots of depth..........lots of experience.

All the reports are pointing to USC and rightfully so. Most of the top notch programs are going thru transitions of some sort, so after USC its up for grabs.

LSU looks powerful in the SEC and so do the Gators. If their young defense does what Ohio St. young D did last year (which was thought to be impossible) and step up when the draft ate them alive, then the Gators could really be a repeat threat.

Michigan looks good with what they have returning, but we said that about them last year. I think the safe pick would be USC. But like I said bout those two SEC teams, they have a realistic chance if they survive their conference.

I say watch out for my UCLA Bruins. We have pretty much everybody back on a defense that stifled crosstown rival USC this last December and now big Ben Olson is healthy once again and ready to assume the duties at starting QB. The schedule certainly isn't easy but there's no reason to think the Bruins can't be 11-0 heading into the showdown in the Coliseum this coming season with the Trojans.

Michigan. They have senior leaders in Mike Hart, Chad Henne, and Jake Long. Those 3 are potentially all-americans on the first team. Also they have arguably the best reciever in the nation in Mario Manningham. And his backup Adrian Arrington. They arguably have the most potent offense in the nation. Also, their schedule, they have Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, and Notre Dame all at the big house. ONE TOUGH GAME ON THE ROAD: at Wisconsin a team they beat by a solid two TD's last year still. They'll feast on a weak Big Ten.

I would look to see Texas at the top spot for the first part of the season. Don't count out Boise to make another strong statement at the end of the season depending on the quarterback Peterson chooses. Ian Johnson will lead the nation in scoring again as well.

It pains me to say this, but it could very well be Michigan. Hart, Henne and Long will be real dangerous on offense, with questions on defense.

Most improved? Illinois. If Zook's going to get accused of improper recruiting, they might as well look like a team that's getting talent improperly. Juice Williams should be much improved, with great talent in the freshman and sophmore classes.

USC no doubt about it....Booty is going to be better and they were a really YOUNG team last year. This program just reloads like no ones business with Carroll!
