Why do men think we are superwomen. We do working a job, cooking, cleaning, looking after kids and pets and the husband. Men winge when they get a cold and they call it man flu.

Be careful with generalizing. It is the opposite at my house. I work full time, mow the yard, do the laundry, do the dishes every night, take out the trash, iron my shirts, make meals, take care of the kids, clean up after the cat, wash the cars, pick up the house, (we have a house keeper), and so on. When I am sick (which is rare), I don't complain or lay around the house making demands. When my wife is sick, it is hand and foot care.
Please don't make such general statements.
All women are not superwomen, likewise, all men are not incapable. I would say that you chose poorly. You need to get to know the man before you marry them. Good ones are out there.

Because we don't like being ill,and feel that it is our job to bring the money in.
Nowadays with women's lib an all that+ a lower wage for men,they cant do that,so both have to work.
If men did get better pay then it would be a more better life for a family unit,and the woman would have more time to herself and family,and kids having mum at home to go to(so they don't get up to any mischief).
Fortunately for you you can do all those things whereas men are.... how can i put it more mothered,so are not taught at an early age how to do those things properly.
I don't think we,d have a population if men had the babies.
So to put your question in a nutshell...yes they do think your superwoman,because you have a job,cook clean etc.,and the reason why is above(i think)

This is partly your fault in seeing yourself as superwoman then they do too and will do nothing to alter that view, if it means they can get away with doing as little as possible..
I have learned to be specific with my requests for help around the house and find most days that the jobs have been done, not necessarily to the same standard as I would do it but done!
I also found that once I had passed the initial test of letting my partner do a bit, he now does a bit more without being asked, get listing!
Hoover the lounge (use the attachment along skirting)
Hang out the washing (if it is fine weather)
Wash the dishes (using hot water) etc

In my experience, it's not that think you're Superwoman, more that they just don't give a toss!
What makes me mad is when they're ill, the world stops. You get ill and they'll happily sit there watching you looking after the kids, hoover, make dinner, wash up etc!
Why are men like this? Because they're pathetic and sexist, that's why.

its the way it works if you dont like it you can divorce him and give him the kids other than that suck it up and do it cause if you dont you know it aint getting done. it sucks yes but it is the way it has always been. I take it with pride that us woman can handle all of these things it makes us stronger than them in that sense it is one thing that they cant handle is being us!!! We are the bomb. We can do it all and so can you. just take a deep breath and keep on going. good luck

We are trained to think of you as superwomen because you CONSTANTLY tell us that you are.
We know you can multi-task because YOU TELL US.
We have been trained to think you have a higher pain threshold because YOU TELL US.
We have been trained to think we are an inferior race of sub-humans beacuse YOU TELL US.

not all women do everything...some women are just as moronic as these man that expect the woman to do everything for them....however, it is still the majority of men that expect most of the things you mentioned to be 'duties of women'....men who are like this usually have just had mums that did everything for them hence they became lazy...but when you think about it, it was a woman (their mum) that got him thinking this way...it's all a vicious circle!
But yeh...honestly..."you can't live with them, can't live without them"

because that is the way their brain works. It doesn't have room for consideration - there is comfort and sex, that's pretty much it, and it is closed even more because they come back with the line, "Hey, you wanted equality...' without realizing there is nothing equal about it and that they still look at us as inferior and treat us like crap.
Women - hold your heads high.

I think guys are generally lazy and they expect their ladies to live up to the motherly role of their moms.
