Did you just come from camping or a wild hair day or something?
Deep condition, seriously. If you don't have any deep conditioner, you can use mayonnaise (I know it sounds gross but it'll lube up your strands enough to separate them and give a healthy oil treatment in the meantime), massage it gently so as not to worsen the reason you can't brush to begin with, and START FROM THE BOTTOM! Work slowly and then wash the mayo out with shampoo like normal, no need to condition.

That sounds like when I brush my daughters hair. I wet hers and pick it out starting from the ends going up to the roots.

LOL! Get a relaxer or a conditioner and wash your hair. When you're done washing it, comb it out w/ a comb while it's wet so that all the dead hair will come out. Then, spray it w/ whatever you use on your hair daily [while it's wet]. Then, blowdry it and straighten it.
Good Luck! ;--]â¥â¥

well...you should not quit trying because that will just cause it to tangle even more...
I would get it relaxed at a salon...That will help.
Good Luck..
