That's a tough question. A tornado can rip a building off its foundation in about 3 seconds, but look at what Katrina did. Although, didn't she last for a few days? Stress could be higher in an 8 hour hurricane because of the length, but I think an 8 second tornado could do way more damage and cause more injury or loss of life. I think I'll take the hurricane.

I've already spent more than 8 hours in a hurricane, and I've seen a tornado that was way too close for comfort. I'll take the hurricane any day!

8 seconds in a tornado - I would love to be blasted through the thing providing there is no metal in it. Did you see the movie with Helen Hunt and Bull Pullman in it about tornado's? That was so cool at the end where they strapped themselves to a water pipe and were looking upward to the sky when the tornado went across them.

Completely IN the tornado? If yes, then I'd go with the 8 hours in the hurricane. Wait.......you know.....I think I'd go for both. You know why? Because that would be so cool to experience, and I'd have a new story to tell. It'd be a test of bravery, but I think it'd be fascinating.
