They make gate mounting brackets to use. You will have to use a Masonry drill bit,and an expanding anchor .Than the brackets just screw into the anchors. Check out the Hardware store.Bye

Assuming their are hinges, hopefully exterior grade or you can replace with exterior grade, similar to chain link fence gate hinges/swivel points; and the gate isn't outrageously heavy, and the block is in decent shape you might try a tap Con bit and screws, or drill all the way through two opposing walls of the block and bolt all the way through with galvanized hardware. Obviously what you use must also take into account your choice of WHERE the gate is mounted...IE: one face or the other, or centered.
I'd likely use the above hardware but also a treated wood 2 x 4 etc., mounted to the end blocks, then attach the gate to that. It seems logical that the verticle brace/attach point would last at least as long as the Wooden gate.

honestly i wouldn't anchor it into a cinder block i would just dig around it and bury it in concret in the ground to give it a stable platform to stay on.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/X29s7
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.

There are a number of anchors you can use. Wedge anchors are probably the strongest, but tapcons are probably the easiest.
