I know that in the book of Daniel that he speaks of someone being weighed and mearsured and found wanting. He was comparing somone's spirit to the weight systems of that time. The Old Testament is full of stuff like that. Noah's ark is a good example. God told him to build the ark so many cubits high, but a cubit can vary. A cubit is from your elbow to your middle finger. This is found in Genesis, just a couple of chapters in. You should read it, it's interesting.

You can use the parable of the lost sheep for subtraction. For multiplication, you can use where something is returned ten fold.
