caricature is a graphical representation (a drawing) of someone (usually a famous or important person) with exaggerated features ... examples, uhm, you'll find lots of caricatures in time magazine and similar news magazines...

cliche is something people say but rarely mean... something like that... like the phrase "at the end of the day..." that is so cliche...

idiom (or idiomatic expression) is a statement that means something other than it's literal meaning... for example, "black mail" or "kick the bucket" ...
