No. Only the biological parents income is considered for child support. Their spouses income is meaningless. It's not their child so they aren't obligated to pay. (in Ohio anyway)

I don't know what state you might be referring to,
but in Texas...no, the 'spouse' can not be
held responsible for your child support...
your child support is judged according to
'your' income.
Now then, having said that, as usual there's
a catch........
if you and your spouse combine your incomes
and pay your child support, then that is brought
into play. Then your child support will be based
on that !!

No, your child support comes out of YOUR pocket not your new wife's.

I don't think so. Your support payments were based on your own financial situation at the time of your divorce. If you were to get a substantial raise in pay/salary, you could/would be obligated to pay more, though.

Child support is based on your income only. Gross, not net.

No your child support does not have anything to do with your current spouse.

No. Some Lawyers will try, so be on your toes, but no.

In all 50 states that is not the correct procedure.

yes!..the court takes both of your income to dedice what your child support is going to be. my advise is check with a lawyer but chances are that is yes!

of course the law is different in each state..so it would be wise to check with a lawyer.
