From Baseball... St. Louis Cardinals. They have many members in the Hall of Fame. They have been in more World Series (17) than any other National League team and been around since 1876, the first year the Majors were considered the Major Leagues. August A. Bush Jr. was a great owner. The biggest mistake he made was letting Steve Carlton go.
Football... Probably Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears... all in their prime.
Basketball... Boston Celtics, then later Chicago Bulls.
(Harlem Globetrotters have played to bigger crowds)
Hockey... ? Don't follow Hockey. New York Rangers had a lot of great years.

1. Notre Dame- Many great players, tied for most NCAA championships, and have had some of the greatest coaches of all time.
2. New York Yankees- The richest team of all time (can afford anybody), 26 world series, smart coaches and owners, and the hall of famers Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Yogi Berra played for this team.
3. Dallas Cowboys- Great players, great coaches, 5 Super Bowl wins. I mean c'mon this team has some of the greatest history ever.
Honorable Mention- Boston Celtics- Larry Bird, 16 CHAMPIONSHIPS. Only reason they weren't in my top 3 was because of the poor playing recently.

You got to be kidding. The Miami Dolphins is the obvious answer if we are talking NFL. They have the ONLY undefeated team EVER!! And statistically the BEST QB. Yes. all the haters are right he does not have a ring, and based on that Montana or Elway can be argued as best but the stats are the stats. Oh and Bret Farve fan if a good player gets the opportunity to play for ever, even when the team sucks and needs to rebuild, he will build good stats too. So don't even mention FARVARA.
If its Sports in general, the NY Yankees. They have the most championships and greatest names.

I won't disagree with those who say Packers, but heres something ot consider. The Pittsburgh Steelers. 19 HOFs and more waiting. 5 SB's, (4 in 6years). 3 coaches in 36 years and counting... The Rooney family has arguably done more for the NFL than any other owners. They also stay true. Do not sign trouble and do not tolerate it ( look out Faneca) They are winners and will always be that way.

Even though I live near Green Bay, I have to say the Packers. Curly Lambeau, Vince Lombardi, Brett Favre, Sterling Sharpe, Bart Starr. Plus 2 superbowl victories in the 60's and one in 1997. That's a decent tradition!

One of the teams around since the days of teams called the maroon, the bulldogs, and the steamroller.
Either the Packers or Bears.
I'd say the Packers, but I'm sure people in Chicago disagree.:)
