I SAY THE COLTS!! GO COLTS!!!

2007-05-25 11:37:59 · answer #1 · answered by AMP 3 · 2 1

I'm not saying anything about the Pats because superstar teams never seem to work. I don't care if Belichick is the coach. The egos of superstars always seem to conflict when there are too many on a team. It never works. This team sounds a lot like the Bengals team from last year. All vamped up talent they had before training camp and preseason didn't back up the beliefs during the regular season. I'm just gonna pick the Cowboys for the NFC. But, everyone knows it's gonna be another AFC Champion year because the NFC just can't match up...

Everyone who knows football closely knows that the winners in free agency rarely increase their success on the field. While the Patriots added WRs Wes Welker (who is 5'9" and runs a 4.7 forty), and Randy Moss (who only plays when he feels like it), they did little to help their aging corp of linebackers; in fact, they did little to help their defense at all, except for drafting the character risk, Brandon Merriweather.

The Colts are a team who rarely participate in free agency, instead, they rely on a core group of veterans and their coaching staff to "coach up" young guys. The Colts have lost a slue of linebackers over the last few years, but have managed to stay on top of their game. With the return of Bob Sanders, and addition of guys like Quinn Pitcock and Daymeion Hughes, as well as a first round cornerback and two second round corners waiting in the wings, this team still appears to be the team to beat in the AFC. Especially considering Joseph Addai is in his second year in the system, and the Colts once again have a dynamic slot receiver in Anthony Gonzalez. Look for Peyton to have a 2004 type season (the one, in case you don't remember, where he threw a record 49 touchdown passes).

Still in the AFC, the Chargers are the most talented team in football, have the best RB in the game (LT2), a great young QB (Rivers), and the best defender in the league (Merriman). The Ravens should also flourish with Steve McNair's second year in the system, a better offensive line, and a new RB (McGahee).

Turning to the NFC, the competition at the top is less competitive. Although the Seahawks have been the class of the NFC for the past couple of years, they appear to be headed downward, while other teams in their division (the 49ers and Rams, especially) seem to be heading up.

I still feel that the class of the NFC will be the New Orleans Saints and their ability to create offensive mismatches. They have the best RB duo (McCallister and Bush), a great group of WRs, and an underrated O-line. While their defense isn't as good as their offense, they are certainly improving.

Don't count out the Eagles, who will have their franchise WB back, or the other NFC South teams. An NFC South team has always been represented in the NFC Championship Game. The Buccaneers and the Panthers improved during the offseason, with the former having a youth movement on defense, and the latter filling their holes well in the draft.

Hope it wasn't too lengthy for you!

I think the Patriots have done themselves proud this offseason, with the additions of Moss on offense and Thomas to the defense. Given the fact that they led the Colts throughout their game with no REAL WR's, I'd say they are the team to beat in the AFC.
In the NFC, my gut tells me the Cowboys. The Seahawks defense is really good, but Alexander is still suffering from his broken foot. Chicago won't sneak up on anyone this year, meaning Grossman is gonna have to play better. Plus one of their LB (Briggs) is probably gonna be a no-show due to $$. So with all that, I think the Cowboys are gonna represent the NFC in the SuperBowl.

Panters and yea I am biased. They're my favorite team, live near Charlotte have had PSL tickets since they were made in the 96-97 season.
I don't think the colts are good enough this year for a repeat and I don't think the Patriots will make it either(they are overrated becuase of their 3 super bowls a few years ago and people saying all the awesome pick ups they have made, but I still think they aren't good enough)
Who do I think will make the super bowl in the AFC? Chargers

Well I see the Patriot bandwagon is still full.
The team to beat this year will be the Chargers, regardless of what all the Pat backers say.
I get a kick out of how one person said the Colts have done nothing to improve.
THEY ARE THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS, they don't have to improve, d u m b a s s.

Patriots, barely missed the playoffs last year, and added Adalius Thomas, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and Donte Stallworth. Great draft with lots of picks, lots of cap room to work with, didn't lose any important players other than maybe Corey Dillon, from last year's team.

Indy. The Champs are ALWAYS the team to beat. As long as Peyton is still breathing and living they will be a !st or 2nd seed team in the playoffs.

Patriots hands down.
Theyr always a contender and this year theyv bulked up their D and added some WRs-Stallworth Moss and Welker and they added a FB with Sammy Morris
It will be very exciting to see Maroney in his second year
Brady will have a great season with all his new recievers and the D should be better this year too

expect a big year from the Seahawks. They had several key injurys last season and still made the playoffs. They added several veteran defensive players to balance their potent offense. Playing in a weak NFC west will help them get home field through the playoffs this year.

Dallas Cowboys...tired of hearing about the Pats and the Colts and the Bears.

First off....

The Cowboys added another DeMarcus Ware...Ware and Spencer coming from both sides I feel sorry for the opposing QB. They are just SOME of the key additions to the last season ranked 3rd defense. And then Coach Wade Phillips coming from the Chargers defensive coordinator postion....yeah the defense will be locked down.

With the addition of Jason Garrett for Offensive Coordinator and helping Romo, Garrett will get Romo to where he needs to be. Romo is going to be a great QB this season. Not to mention signing Brad Johnson who did exceptional with the Vikes last year, as a mentor to Romo.

T.O. is being quiet this season cause he KNOWS they are going to be a great team. He loves Coach Phillips and have you seen him at camp? Yeah catching balls with NO problem, without dropping balls, he smoked Terrance Newman in drills....Newman is one of the best underrated CB's in the game. Smoked!

Now the running game, Jones is loving the new playcalling and the new playbook that Coach Phillips has designed, he will be ready for the upcoming season. Then not too mention a future Pro Bowler Marion Barber..the Truck! He is ONLY going to get better and stronger...unstoppable.

Then the offensive line got stronger with the new addition in the former 2nd pick in the 2001 draft Leonard Davis and re-signing Marc Columbo, Romo WILL get the time he needs to get the ball to whomever he wants.

The Cowboys have one of the best linebacking crews in the NFL! With Akin Ayodele, Bradie James, Greg Ellis and already proven to be a future Pro Bowler Bobby Carpenter. The zones will be perfectly taken care of!

....not to mention one of the best safetys in the history of NFL in hard-hitting Roy Williams...like I said the zones will be taken care of.

Now and finally the guys that will catch the ball...
T.O., Terry Glenn, Patrick Crayton, and proven true wide outs in Sam Hurd, Jamaica Rector and Austin Miles, not to mention Jason Witten and Anthony Fasano....Im SURE Tony Romo will find someone out there!!!

Dallas Cowboys
Super Bowl Champions 2008
That would make 6...the most in NFL history.

How Bout Them Cowboys!
