I'm not sure about Guderian, but Rommel was not a big fan of the whole "rounding up the Jews" deal.

Anyway, both defied his order to fight to the last man. At El Alemein, Hitler gave the order to NOT retreat. Rommel disobeyed and retreated.
Guderian retreated from Moscow and was relieved of command.
Why were the two generals treated differently? Rommel was not relieved of command, since he was the 'darling' of the German army...
