I have a female guppy about 1 1/4 inches long and it keeps trying to eat my baby guppies that are 1 cm long,but she cant eat them and spits them back out and they die. how do I stop her.

Yep, the only answer it to separate them from the adults. Any adult guppy will try to eat the babies and most usually can eat them. It's completely normal.

Guppies bear live young and will eat them unless separated by a cage (breeder cage). The cage keeps the parents in and lets the babies out so they can grow. It it's that big, she has probably eaten all of her previous litters. They are so tiny, you probably never seen them and obviously didn't know she had any.

seems you already got the right answer with the guppy breeder trap which separates the adult from the fry, as soon as you think the mother has finished birthing, remove her from the trap. traps can be bought at most pet stores.

put her in a separate tank this normal for guppies to try and eat very small fish

You need to seperate them from the mother, Get a breederbox or breeding net, Put them in that till they get bigger then you can put them in with the mum,

take her out of the tank or buy a breeder for the babys. she will keep doing this until there or no babies left its nature.
