Hi all,

I am trying to put 2 electrical consumer units in my house will I need the supply company regarding this or can a normal electrician do it as the 25mm tail wires for both the consumer units will come from the electrical meter.

You need to connect the two sets of tails from the two C/Us to a pair of 100amp mains connector blocks, and then connect the blocks to the meter with 25²mm tails. I say 'you' but I am not suggesting that you do this yourself. An electrician will be required, you may or may not have an isolator after the meter to connect to?! and may have to contact your electricity supply company.

If you consult your local electrician, he should be able to give you advise. You should be able to have two units off the meter but the only thing you have to worry about is overloading the circuitry.
