A good canister filter like Rena Filstar XP3 will have more than plenty filtering capacity for this size tank.
If that's out of the budget, I believe Hagen AquaClear to be the best power filter on the market for it's flexibility of media, like you can with a canister. The model 110 again has more than enough filtering capacity...
The Rena Smart Filter, which is like a canister filter (under pressure) but looks like a power filter seems promising, but none are big enough for your tank. Some people I know use two power filters on larger tanks. To me, larger tanks need canister filters. The very large tanks need to consider a sump type filter.

There are a variety of quality filters on the market and what brand is best for you will depend in some part on what fish you plan to keep. Also consider what brands local stores sell, how easy it is to get replacement parts and media locally and how easy the filter is to clean. If you find the filter a pain to work with then you probably won't clean it as often as you should. All of those things should be part of your decision for your filter brand and size.

It depends on what type you want. Canister filters are supposedly the best because they push water through all sorts of media, such as bio-max and filter floss. But Hagen AquaClear (hang-on-the-back type of filter) also work in a similar way to the canister filter. They are very inexpensive (at Petsmart), and for your size tank it would cost less than $30 for an AquaClear filter. I would recommend that if you want an easy filter to maintain.

You can try a Fluval 5 internal filter or an external fluval filter. Fluval is the best. www.fluval.com
