how come all R&B / rap / hip hop has the same annoying beat through out. and not to mention the profane lyrics that are all slang are as uncreative as anything you've ever heard?

obviously you don't listen to hip hop.. and i'm not talkin about what you see on tv or hear on the radio.. most of that **** ain't hip hop, it's "pop rap." granted, hip hop has been fallin of the charts a lot lately as far as lyrical talent goes, but that's because people are too worried about hearin about money, cars, women and jewels.. trust me, that ain't how all rap is. it's only a small part of the game and it's what's hot right now. hopefully hip hop can go back to the state that it was in in the late 90's early 2000's. that was my favorite time in hip hop. and for all the people on here bashin hip hop: don't criticize something just cuz you don't know what it is.. hasn't history taught you ****** idiot bigots anything?

Well, i hate rap and hip hop, bu i see very little on R&B, which i don't like that much either. All these hip hop artists show cars, money and women. Do they even realize how many kids in Africa are starving, digging for diamonds to sell and eat, when these artists have them on their teeth?! That's just crazy. ANd all they do is curse curse and curse on their every song just because they said it's "cool" hip hop was not how it was back in the day.

keep your mind open and you can find a lot of great music beyond all the clutter on the radio

If u listen to some rap from the 90's it will have nice lyrics and nice beats

Because they have no talent,their not real musicians! Real musicians play real instruments! Write their own songs,don't use samples,write real lyrics,with real words not made up junk just so they can rhyme! Most like it b/c it takes no talent,the everyday Joe can Rap,or dress Gangsta,act like a thug! Talk like a wanna B! It's the truth! Pull a gun! Sell crack!

Because people are cranky like you? Not all rap artists are unintelligent outlaws. Listen to Tupac, Kayne West, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kewli, Common etc...They are more creative than you will ever be.
Rap/R&B/Hip-Hop are all meant to entertain just like Rock/Punk/Metal/Country or whatever. Why be so narrow minded?
Listen to what you prefer and move on.

All of it is not the same. There are lots of artists out there who have clean music- John Legend, Lyfe Jennings, Sammie, Lauryn Hill, just to name a few.

Because they all "sample" which is rip off artist's work and then rhyme words that are profane because they have a very limited vocab.
