You ever get the feeling that those of us answering biology questions are just doing the homework of a bunch of lazy kids? Some of the questions feel like they're right off a homework paper.

Yes, but they are learning. They took the time to type in a question and they are reading responses. As long as those that answer take the time to explain 'why' than it is okay. It would be best if this was not the first resource used but at least they are making an attempt.

Well if people are willing to answer, I'd say those students are utilizing a resource, which is better than not doing homework at all.

So long as they learn the material, and care enough to ask...

Maybe you should considering answering a question with a question or giving the wrong one. I suspect that would take care of lazy kids.

It's not just the biology section, amigo. I don't answer questions that feel that way. Let 'em do their own damn homework!

i'm so vain that i'll probably answer these questions--because i find self-validation through how many "best answer"s i get =X

however, i try to take the time to explain the answer in the hopes that someone might acutally learn something instead of just copying and pasting the answer to their homework.

but don't you just LOVE the questions where they specifically say, "PLEASE keep your answers to 3 sentences max--my teacher likes it that way =P"

wow. really? deng...laaaazy.
