Getting a B shows how focused you were about Algebra. Mathematics and many other sciences like, physics, chemistry, computer programming, biology and such require long hours of practise. If you put in those hours and work really hard you ace the A's if you do not then it does not matter how intelligent you are you'd still not make it. Personally, I do not believe in sitting in class (when it comes to scientific courses like the ones I listed above) and not doing enough work or not solving enough examples. Because practise allows you to look at a problem and recognize the way to solve it without struggling for hours. Anyone (with average intelligence) can become very good at math if they have determination and ambition to do so. However, no one should expect miracles without hard work. I am not saying you did not practise at all but maybe you could practise more next time. There were times during high school where I got D's in Trigonometry and felt like a complete loser because math is my passion but I knew that I could do better just by applying myself, so it is all up to you.

I highly doubt it makes you a failure (unless you've already passed algerbra 2 with a B or higher). A lot of people fail algerbra, as in with an F, not a B. A B is a wonderful grade. Even if you're down from and A, a B shouldn't make you feel any worse. Take this to mean that you deffinitely know what your doing in the class, and that there are still (as always) a few area's to improve upon.

A B means over achieves. An A means you did excellent. You cant do everything perfect so getting a B is great. people need at least a C to pass. A B is really good and you should be happy you didn't get a C of even worse, a F.

Are you serious? Man, when I was in high school I was getting freakin' Ds! in Algebra. I would have killed for a B! In the end I settled for a C average as my final grade and I felt like tap dancing down the hall in a dancing hat and a stick!!! Well...not really, but you better believe your situation is NOT as bas as mine and probably a third of your class. Surely you can creat a forumla for that. ;-)

A "B" is a good grade...but an "A" is always better. And a "B" grade in algebra is far from making you a failure. I wouldn't even worry about it.

It is not as low as a C, D, or F. You should be proud you got a B, no lower. Goodness sakes, you are not a failure.

Hey, it's fine w/me. I just passed w/a "C" & was positively delighted. FYI, I did EXTREMELY well, for some reason, in Geometry! Go figure. Good luck!

I'll cry over a 'D'; I'll frown upon a 'C'; I'll want an 'A' when I get a 'B'; I'll want an 'A*' when I get an 'A'; I'll celebrate my *** of when I recieve an 'A*'!!!
Overall, a 'B' is not bad....
At least be happy it ain't a 'C"
I hate B's though; too much of them in my grades...

B's are okay, just be thankful that, you are not failing like some other kids in your class.
