When is an apology not an apology?

I think saying "I'm sorry you feel that way" is not a good apology. Also, when you apologize but offer a back handed comment after the apology or saying I'm sorry and still justifying your behavior that you are apologizing for.

When you truly don't mean it..The only reason you are apologizing is because you got caught. Or if someone apologizes for the same thing twice. You can make a mistake once but are aware of the consequences the second time around.

When you say you are sorry, just because you got caught or in order to get out of punishment.

When they keep doing the same thing over and over and over and ........................ . You get the hint.After about the 'third' time or so.Somethings wrong.
Or..........when they apologize over the phone but never see you and do it again,and again,and again................... .

When someone says,

"IF I have hurt you....." or,

"I'm sorry you got upset or....."
