I heard that gasoline expands at different time of the days in the summer. At what time should I fill up to be most economical?

Gas is stored underground, therefore the outside temperature doesn't affect it very much and it won't matter if you fill up at noon or in the evening. Also, gas prices don't necessarily go down during the week, so just keep an eye out for your cheapest local station. You can also go to gasbuddy.com which lists gas prices.

i have no idea about tat ,, but i have noticed that gasoline evaporates if not used for couple of days or kept in open space.

Try to kip ur bike in shade, this will kip the tank cooler than ever.

The best time to fill up ur tank is wen ur fuel reaches to the lowest ie reserve
if ur fuel tank is suppose 10 ltrs ... 2 ltrs r kept for reserver ( may b less or more)

2 ltrs r enough to reach to a gasoline station.

u shud wait 4 ur vehicle to come to reserve .. so ur fuel / gasoline will be cycled along rather than emptyinh the tank or filling it up wen thers is enough fuel.

try & test ur vehicles in various parameters regarding gasoline usage.

for more info. u can ask ur local vehicle mechanic... they r the best wen u need any suggestion !!

when it's cold the tank will hold more. gas is like us.when it's cold,it will pull close together, and when it's hot it will relax. and always keep it full. an empty tank will accumulate moisture and that's not good for the fuel system. just start out ,filling up at a hot time,or a cold time, and keep it full. if you fill it up on a cold morning, and fill it up on the next day on a hot part of the day,it won't hold as much, but always full it up on the same temp. part of the day, and you can keep accurate records of the milage. and my friend ,there is no economical time to fill . it's high ,no matter what time of day it is..ahahaah. just funnin......... ......... good luck..

It is recommended to fill up on Wednesdays because the hype from the weekend has cooled and there is still time before the weekend so the demand is not as high hence lower prices by a few cents.

The best time to fill up is when your tank is empty.

The above answer is what I have heard as well. I also heard that, typically, middle of the week is cheapest.

When it is the coolest part of the day, such as early morning or late evening. he fuel is more denser when cold, thus you get more gas for the buck.

my suggestion is to NOT fill it to it's maximum capacity, if you are worried about expansion.
