Hi,
Sounds like your sub is resonating (vibrating).

Try placing it on a piece of polystyrene or better still (and this might sound a bit strange) get a bit of wood and bang a nail into each corner. Turn it upside down so that the tips of the nails are in contact with your floor, and then try putting your sub on the wood. It is the same idea as speaker stands ad it works because there is only a very small surface area in contact with the floor. Therefore the sound is isolated and it should cut down the noise. Think of the bass as ripples on the water, the spikes or nails cut down the size of the ripples.

Dude hope this helps.

buy a quality pair of headphones, thers nothing worse than listening to someone elses noise. trust me i wanted to murder the neighbours i had that played loud music. it got to the point i just dreaded going home.
i suggest u buy some headphones and keep your mobile on the stereo so you dont miss any calls. Music is wonderful but be conciderate mate.

Try turning it now a little bit and maybe move it away from joining walls.

or listen to it at a reasonable hour of the day, say to her that after 10pm you will turn it off.
this way she will see that you are not meaning to cause her grief

with bass its not always to do with the volume, tones can get carried to were we least expect.

Try repositioning your woofer within your room, it could be that they are getting all the benefits of your woofer & not you.

maybe ask your neighbour to help you & explain that you are trying to be considerate.

Just turn it down. We have the same problem. On one side of my house there is no real insulation and her bedroom window is right next to our living room window. She is always complaining about the music. We just turn it down. I don't want to be an asswhole and make an enemy.

The bass as you mentioned goes through the walls, and what is so annoying is other peoples noise, I know, I have suffered,

Get a set of wireless headphones.

What you consider "ain't even loud" might drive me up the wall.

it always sounds louder above or below the speakers.. buy your self a pair of Grado sr60 headphones £80 and you won't need the sub-sats... it will sound better!

It probably isnt loud to you because youve deafened yourself. Meanwhile, the rest of us have our living room windows rattling because of your shitty music!
