Why do black guys like light skinned girls more than dark skinned girls?

I feel this is similar to being racist. When i here black guys say that they only date light skinned girls, its very disturbing, because its almost like saying they prefer white girls. and its worst because we are the same race

Im not saying that all black guys are attracted to light skinned girls. Its just that it bothers me to hear the BLACK guys say that they only date light skinned girls and ive heard this straight from their mouths several times

I dont mean dark dark girls, i mean chocoloate girls. (though all shades should be treated the same).

I've been with light, brown, and dark skinned women. I've seen beauty in all shades, but i attract lighter to brown skinned women, and i don't know why. Maybe because i'm between brown to dark i guess, opposites attract. This is just me tho. But i don't really have a preference.

I think the guys that say that are brain washed by society to think that the lighter the better but in reality even lighter women like myself have a complex. My darker counter parts made me feel inferior for being "yellow" as my bother would put it. My aunt used to called lighter people "light bright damn near white" that used to crack me up. I used to and still do wish I were darker because light bright shows every blemish and scare. I've always said I don't want a man lighter than me and I still think that way. Guys who make reference to skin color just need for once wake up and see the beauty in all their sisters. I see the beauty in all my brothers but I love my Carmel and any man lighter than me has to be an albino.

Girl, I know what you mean...... I hear it in alot of hip-hop rap songs nowadays too. The ones that prefer lighter skin women consider them to be prettier than darker ones. They don't neccessarily prefer a caucasian woman, but they would rather be with( fall in love, marry, have an light-skin unplanned child)with a lighter-skin woman cause they are accepted as more beautiful in the Black community and their "homeboys" will consider her pretty. Especially ones with long "good" hair. Its disturbing to me too cause I seem to get the leftovers that the light-skin girls didn't want!! :(

i cant speak for all but my boyfriend a while back didnt date dark girls because he was very dark and was always made fun of so i guess he came to the conclusion that light skin was sexier i guess people want what they dont have

I have always thought Dark skinned people were beautiful.....I have seen the most beautiful skin on dark skin peope ...flawless....I am a mixed blood American Indian and my youngest brother is married to a dark skinned woman.....and my nephew is beautiful.....he takes after his mom

I think it may be the opposite thing - I am very light but I LOVE LOVE LOVE dark-skinned men........my goodness! I am not attracted to light guys...it's weird

Im an educated black guy thats NOT really "brainwashed" by the media....and i can honestly say that I dont find dark skinned girls attractive at ALL.
