Because it helps sell products, like Y2K. Just look at what Al Gore sells compared to what he uses in his own mansion.

Um, because it heats up out atmosphere and heats up out earth. In 13 years all of the ice in the polar caps will be melted and water level will rise dramaticallly, troubling countries like holland which below sea level. We will have a much higher risk of skin cancer and the air will be really hot. And if think of getting an aircon, that just makes our situation worse because it takes up LOADS of energy which releases carbon dioxide which absorbs heat. Now do you understand why people are so crazy. Factors such as hurricanes has dubbled in amount and strength over the last ten years because of global warming. This is also a reason why are trying to find out if life on mars is possible. Global warming is important, we will all fry.

Well, global warming is not going to destroy the Earth you know why? Because the Earth has been through worst disasters in its history which has wiped out most life on the planet like getting hit by a huge rock from space, super volcanoes erupting (yellow stone is one) and the Earth has still survived and has the ability to heal itself.
On the other hand we are doomed, Earth will continue on just fine.

We usually believe that history occurs without the intervention of weather. Here is an situation where clearly weather will. For the "we're doomed-we're gonna die" folks, we probably won't, but if we don't do something, many others will, and your life as you know it will change. Just think what has happened to your life since Sept 11 2001?

Its a massive conspiracy to sell a lot of hybrid cars and cf lightbulbs. Don't you all remember you earth sciences classes? Didn't you learn about the earth and its cycles of warming and cooling? How do you know this isn't the beginning of another ice age?

erm because the whole world would be flooded too hot extreme weather conditions and that sh1t. Everyone would die. I know what you're saying though, its not that big a deal i mean its only the whole earth.

Because its a very serious matter....as things are going, te weather, temperature, level of the oceans, survival of cities at sea level, Like New York, London, and so...are in danger.....
in short, because in a few years, it will be a matter of life and death (Its not an exaggeration)....for all of us..
