I am 24 and I had a miscarriage about a year ago and I don’t really know the after effects of one, but I think I may be pregnant again. I had a normal period in March, then I skipped it in April, but now in May I had been spotting for almost 3-4 weeks, the whole time my breasts were VERY tender (I just figured I was having a irregular period) but now that the spotting has stopped, my breasts are still tender, especially when I wake up, they feel “stiff” and they are just achy thorough the day , but my nipples now, OMG they hurt sooo bad it they are touched even the littlest bit if feels like they are being ripped off. Can anyone tell me more about nipple pain, spotting for about a month or miscarriage after effects?? I would really appreciate it some input. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

You should take a test. Spotting normally only lasts a few days or possibly as long as a normal period, so you may want to consult your doctor on that. However, the nipple pain is a unfortunate side effect of pregnancy. When I first got pregnant I would walk around with no bra on and not let my boyfriend even hug me because they hurt so bad. How much pain you experience differs from pregnancy to pregnancy and person to person. It seems like you may very well be pregnant. Good luck

I had two miscarriages before I finally got pregnant with my first and it took a few months for my body to go back to "normal". If it's been a year, I wouldn't worry about after effects from a miscarriage. Some people get VERY tender breasts when pregnant, and you could very well be. You will want to go get a test & make sure. The spotting could simply be the sack attaching to the wall. Some people experience spotting with that. You will probably want to make an appointment with your OB either way. Good luck & I wish you the best!

First of all I would like to say how sorry I am that you had to experience a miscarriage. I had several myself and it was hard.
As for the nipple pain I did have some when I was pg with my first son. The only way I know how to explain how it was that it felt like my nipples were burned off with a cigarette. Very tender!
As for the spotting I would call the doctor and let them know what is going on. My cycle was strange after the miscarriage but I think that it is better to check and see what is going on.
Good luck!

You should really take a test. I took one when my breasts and nipples started hurting. And sure enough I'm pregnant! Due in November. I've had two miscarriages. It took about two monthes for my periods to regulate again. And with this pregnancy I didn't think I was because I had spotting.

I would take a test. I spotted for a while after I got pregnant with my 2nd daughter. I just thought I had a light period. Nope, I was pregnant. The entire pregnancy and the baby were just fine. Good luck!

I don't know much about miscarriage after effects. But, when I was prenant, my breasts and nipples hurt HORRIBLY! That is how I knew I was pregnant. I couldn't touch them, I couldn't put a bra on, and if the wind blew too hard, that hurt too. I would talk to your doctor, just to be safe.

I think it's very possible you are pregnant, and you really should get checked out by a doctor. If you are then great! I hope it goes well for you this time. x
