Wow.... Nope, can't say I have heard of anything like that in a while! They must be some really great people and you must be a heck of a nanny!

That' so great. If I were that wealthy and had a nanny I would do that too. Wouldn't you? You have to really care for the person in whose hands you leave the lives of your children. Your well being is important to them. $818 is just a drop in the hat for the very wealthy in this world. The likely make 100 x that in interest and dividends on a monthly basis.

Oh Sunshine, I am so happy for you--that's really great news! You must be an absolutely wonderful nanny.
I have heard of something similarly generous, and it was also for a friend of mine who worked as a nanny. She worked for two families at one time, because all four of the parents are doctors, and while they didn't pay for her medical premiums, they treated her and her husband at their medical practices for free (she didn't get much use out of the proctologist--NO JOKE--but luckily one of them was an internist and another a GP). They also bought a good-sized minivan for her to haul the kids around, and paid for the insurance on that, and when she left their employ, she got to keep that. But she was the only person I have ever heard of with really generous employers.
Again, congratulations. You deserve it ;)

I wish I were you (only a little taller). I hope you're teaching the child to read, write, compare numbers.

You have no idea how fortunate you are! I had a boss (an attorney) do that once for me. It was awesome!
