No. The significant decrease in drivers, world wide, would plunge the oil companies into serious financial turmoil. This in turn would destroy the economies of several world markets. Companies would be forced to lay off what few employees they had left, assuming the board of directors hadn't been shot as dumb drivers.

The world as we know it, would cease to exist.
