Coconuts have a habit of NOT falling off a tree one at a time.
They grow on fronds with many coconuts attached and the entire frond will fall at once. The mass is considerable but coconuts have a light husk that can cushion the impact.
I red back in the 1970's that, at that time there was only one official record of death occurring as a result of falling coconuts.
A mother had placed her infant child under a coconut palm tree while she went swimming and the frond fell on her child - with predictable results.
An adult would likely suffer no severe injury.

I heard on discovery channel you're more likely to be hit and die from a falling coconut than a shark attack. There should be the statistic somewhere around there.

Yes, I should think a lot of people get a knock on the nut by coconuts.
