To me it's so predictable and stupid but as a kid in the early 90's it was cool and exciting.

I used to love it back in the day, but it has turned past ridiculous...but like anything else, if you don't like it, turn it.

The majority of us,Americans,don't have any sort of idea what real life values are .When "American Idol"is apparently the basis for the evaluation of personal achievement to most people ,and a total disregard for other principles that should really be the basis for being a true "Idol"or role model,are completely disregarded by the television producers,it is not surprising that Jerry springer continues to be popular.The crappier ,the higher the ratings.

Because they have nothing else to do and they probably recognize themselves in some scenarios and want to see the consequences before announcing their problem! It is pretty stupid now. They should even ban it from TV it is more a big Joke than real show. I'm sure 90% of the stories are all made up anyways.

It is so stupid and I agree with you. It is a waste of time. People who watch it have no life and are nasty. It's like watching live sex. The people in the show are just actors. It's not like the show is real. They get people off the streets to be on the show and they give them money. That's why they are all hoes. They want to get paid good.

You've just grown up. I had the misfortune of seeing a few minutes of it in the 90s and trust me it was predictable and stupid then. Especially when it came out that the "guests" were told what to do in advance (i.e. start pretend fights).

I AM SOOOO WITH YOU! I lost interest in it, after about the fourth or fifth MONTH that I was actually allowed to watch it. I kinda feel the same about Maury and Montel-even though I much prefer them to Jerry and his immediate family effing "guests". It is the saaaaame shtuff allll the time.

That's a show for people who have no excitement in their life. They like to watch other people make a fool of themselves because it gives them what they've been missing. I guess it's sort of like watching porn.

For the same reasons they watch train wrecks, and car crashes. Vacuous minds that have no hope suck up the suffering of others so that they can feel better about themselves...

I totally agree with you. i use to watch it when i was a teenager it was fun then but when you keep seeing the same things over and over you begin to loose interest. i do not watch it anymore it is garbage everything is staged.
