I depends upon one's definition of "friendship," but I think that most people would be likely to have more acquaintances than friends, simply because we can't build the level of intimacy and depth of connection that makes for real friendship with many people.
That;s not really a bad thing. I'd certainly rather have a lot of "friendly acquaintances" than a lot of enemies.

yes- i have a few close friends, we would meet regularly- at least once or twice a week, all go to each other for dinner , go out socially together. I would also meet them individually to.
But I have many that i would hook up with maybe once every few weeks, and others that i would stop and talk to for a bit if I met them, but wouldn't call them a 'friend'

Yes, of course. I have people I don't even recognize claiming to be my friends...comes from working in a popular shop and being visible a lot of the time, *and* from being unmistakable... lol, NO ONE looks like me, and they're grateful!

Yes, it is hard to call the people I spend time with friends because they only care about me 1/2 the time, you know? They only really care about themselves.

I think everybody probably does. I know LOTS of people, but only a few that would call my "friends"

Yes, because once I leave a job, I usually leave certain people behind, too.
